When you hear a hearty laugh ringing through the Compound, chances are that’s Debra having a bit of fun with somebody. After visiting our day shelter downtown one day and feeling at home there, she became one of our regulars.
Debra, a mom of three, has spent many years living on the streets and struggling with addiction. Spending time at the Compound, however, showed her that a new life could be possible.
She is determined to enter a recovery program one day, and she knows that when she’s ready, Urban Purpose will be there to provide the routine, stability, and encouragement she needs. We are so filled with hope for this fun-loving and kind member of our Compound family.
