serve a sunday meal

Our weekly Sunday meal is an open door for anyone to get involved with Urban Purpose and learn more about what goes on with the ministry. We meet every Sunday at 2:30pm at Shades Mountain Baptist Church’s: 2017 Columbiana Rd student building and caravan downtown to serve anywhere from 75-120 homeless men and women.

For more information on what’s expected of the group providing the meal and to sign up to serve a Sunday Meal. If you have any questions about the meal, contact Mark Jenkins at: mark@urbanpurpose.org.

Redemptive Gatherings

Be a part of instilling dignity and value to some of the most forgotten people in our city. Join us for a sit down dinner, Super Bowl party, or laundry night. We regularly host events like this in order to do something special for our homeless friends.

If your team would be interested in sponsoring and joining us for one of these types of events, call Rachel Mirra at 256-797-3642.

MEET BASIC NEEDS

Collect hygiene items, non-perishable snacks and anything that can help people stay warm during the winter. By meeting these needs that we all take for granted, you’re helping us continue to build relationships with the men and women we work with.

For more information about our current needs in this area and how to coordinate getting them to us, call Rachel Mirra at 256-797-3642.
